Update on my life

I know it's been a while since I last posted, but I thought I'd give this blog thing another chance. I changed up my profile a little, since most people who know me know that I'm obsessed with penguins and Kakashi from Naruto. I thought I'd make a little update and tell you all what's been going on in life at the moment. So, my senior year is right around the corner. How exciting. Haha. I really hope I get the Medical Forensics class I signed up for. Hopefully, Evans is right and I'm already on the list! Medical Forensics is basically a CSI class where you learn how to lift fingerprints, fingerprint people, take DNA swabs, take fancy schmancy pictures... you know, stuff they do on CSI. I can't wait to get my class schedule on the 17th! Yay! I'm actually excited to be going back to school so I can see my friends everyday again. I have to say I'm definitely going to miss my guitar class that I took last year and also my amazing Chinese teacher, Yu Dan Dan or as we called her, Yu Lao Shi (basically means Mrs. Yu.) I loved her so much! She was such a fun teacher and she really taught me a lot! We had so much fun in that class and her personality really brought everyone in the class together. :) I hope I get things like Food and Nutrition and Dance 1 this year. Dance is something I haven't done since I was a kid. I kinda like dancing, even though my skills are nothing to be desired. I can't even remember what else I signed up for. I know I signed up for Chinese 2, Medical Forensics, Food and Nutrition, Dance 1 and like all the generic required classes. Haha. I have been so obsessed with Instagram. If anybody is interested and if you have an iPhone or iPod, my username is KakashiFan16. :) Well, my birthday is coming up on the 29th and I can't wait! I'll be the big one seven (17)! Hooray! I wonder what Tyler has planned for me.... ? I am so impatient! I wish my birthday was already here! I ♥ presents. :) Hehe. Well, this is pretty much it for now. Hopefully, I'll think to write soon. Going to download the Blogger app on my iPod so I will remember more often! :D Bye!

Dealing with Tyler's absence

So my boyfriend recently started going to Weber Basin Job Corps. He is only able to see me on weekends and holidays and he is able the call me. He is only able to come home 1 weekend a month, until he gets to red and then it's 2. Silver is 3 and gold is unlimited. So until then I have to get used to not seeing him very often. But somehow I'm dealing with it. :) Thanks to everyone that has been supporting me with this and making it easier for me to cope with, like Symes, Sam and Kourtney. :)

I can't wait for my birthday!! I'm going out with my amazing boyfriend/fiance Tyler and it's gonna be awesome! :D We're going to eat Chinese food. Yay! We actually don't know what else we're doing, but we'll figure that out eventually. Haha.  Can't wait. It's gonna be the best birthday yet. :)

My Hero....

My hero right now would definitely have to be my mom's friend Elisa. She has been through so much crap and yet, she always has a smile on her face and she accepts what life throws at her, no matter what it is. I just finished reading her book, "The Golden Sky". In it, she talks about being nineteen and pregnant, having people staring at her and Ruby all the time, then about when she found out that her baby was a boy. Zeke, her son, was born with a lot of problems; a cleft lip, a hernia, all his organs in his chest and other things. I think that she's an amazing woman because if it were my kid, I would never be able to deal with all of that. Although both her and her husband found it very hard to cope with when Zeke died, she somehow made it through and still managed to have a smile on her face most of the time, even though it was hard not to cry sometimes. I cry a lot about my cousin Connor still and he's not my kid. If I had a kid born with a lot of problems and he/she died only a short while after being born, I think I would break down into depression and I wouldn't be able to come out of it. Elisa is a very strong woman in my opinion, even if she doesn't think she is. She was able to hold out, even when she and her husband had some marital problems. I don't think I could handle both my kid's death AND marital problems at the same time. Life isn't fair, I can accept that, but I don't know if I could handle all of that bull all at once. I now understand that even though I have problems with life sometimes, that I'm lucky that I'm not having to deal with the death of a kid like Elisa. I wouldn't be strong enough for that. I wouldn't even be able to handle having a kid right now in the first place. Elisa now holds a very special place in my heart and I hope and pray that she'll keep being strong and that I hope Zeke likes his pet skunk and balloon in heaven. :) Love ya, Elisa! :D

My Amazing 9th Grade Experience ♥

The first day of my ninth grade year, I walked in through the doors of my new junior high, feeling upset, excited and sad all at the same time. I'd had to leave all of my friends from my former junior high school. I was thinking that this year would be horrible, that I'd be completely miserable the whole year and never make any friends. So I searched the upstairs hall for my locker to stash my things in. Once I had my stuff in it, I walked around looking for my first class's room. When I found it, I walked in, seeing the lights on. I don't know why I did that, but sitting there at a desk across the room was a man named Kip Chandler. He was my Advisory teacher. When he heard me walk in, he turned and asked, "Can I help you?" I answered, "Are you Mr. Chandler?" He smiled and said, "Yes, I am." My friend Chelsi, who was in eighth grade and had also left West Point, was with me. Mr. Chandler asked us for our help stapling some disclosures together for his science classes. We spent until the bell rang doing this. My next few classes were things like Computer Tech, Art, Earth Systems, Algerbra, English, Geography and Seminary. That first day, I saw people that I hadn't seen since sixth grade. I was fascinated at how tall some of the boys had gotten and how gorgeous some of the girls had become. Over the next few weeks, I made some amazing friends. I met a few of my best friends in those few weeks. Tabytha, Sherri, Becka, Seth, Spencer, Sam and Alec were just a few of them. During October, I became very good friends with a boy named Matthew. I loved him to death. I went to his football games when I could and his family even invited me to go to a haunted house with them. In a way, he was the first guy I actually loved. He was the sweetest guy I'd met at the time. At the end of October, he ended up being my first kiss. After that, we didn't see much of each other. I started dating another boy, Michael. I broke up with him after a week after I found out he was cheating on me. I started dating Alec the same day I split with Mike. We dated for about two weeks. I still wonder why I decided to leave him. He was so loving. I sometimes still regret not staying with him longer. We made up eventually, but unfortunately it wasn't until the summertime. My next boyfriend ended up being an eighth grader named Tory. We dated for two months. Then I dated one of my buddies, Spencer. I broke up with him after about five days, since I prefered being his friend. My friends and I had a lot of interesting things happen to us. One thing that really makes me laugh to think about was a certain gym period where we had to do agility exercises. My friends, Tabytha, Sherri and Spencer, were doing the exercises with me. The teacher instructed us to do the army crawl. Girls went first, then we watched the boys do it. Spencer crawled about halfway across the floor and then got up and walked the rest of the way. When he got to us, he said, "There was no way I was going to do that all the way across. I felt like a mentally retarded sea turtle!!!" xD *Sigh* In April,  tragedy struck. My friend JJ, was hit and killed by the FrontRunner. The whole entire ninth grade class was affected. Most went to his funeral. The last day of school, memorable. I went and hung out with my friends for a bit. We signed yearbooks and shirts. When it was time to go home, I walked with my friend, DeAndre. My ninth grade year was certainly memorable, but I am trying to get my head out of the past and focus on tenth grade. Wish me luck! ♥

Scabies..... xP

Scabies...what a horrible thing it is! Scabies is an easily spread skin disease caused by a very small species of mite. Scabies is found worldwide among people of all groups and ages. It is spread by direct contact with infected people, and less often by sharing clothing or bedding. Sometimes whole families are affected. Outbreaks of scabies are more common in nursing homes, nursing facilities, and child care centers. The mites that cause scabies burrow into the skin and deposit their eggs, forming a burrow that looks like a pencil mark. Eggs mature in 21 days. The itchy rash is an allergic response to the mite. Scabies is spread by skin-to-skin contact with another person who has scabies. Pets and animals cannot spread human scabies. It is also not very likely for scabies to be spread by a swimming pool or contact with the towels, bedding, and clothing of someone who has scabies, unless the person has what is called "crusted scabies".

Symptoms

  • Itching, especially at night
  • Rashes, especially between the fingers
  • Sores (abrasions) on the skin from scratching and digging
  • Thin, pencil-mark lines on the skin
Mites may be more widespread on a baby's skin, causing pimples over the trunk, or small blisters over the palms and soles.
  • In young children, the head, neck, shoulders, palms, and soles are involved.
  • In older children and adults, the hands, wrists, genitals, and abdomen are involved.  Prescription medicated creams are commonly used to treat scabies infections. The most commonly used cream is permethrin 5%. Wash underwear, towels, and sleepwear in hot water. Vacuum the carpets and upholstered furniture. Intense scratching can cause a secondary skin infection, such as impetigo, so if you get scabies, try not to scratch too much. :( I have this and it totally sucks. If you get any of the symptoms or are around someone with them, get treatment right away so you don't get them as well! They are beastly! :P Prevent scabies! D:
